English Explanations of Sightseeing Destinations for International Tourists（外国人旅行者のための観光地についての英語解説文）

　The Nishikyo Ward has produced easy but informative English explanations of 7 tourist spots and temples in the ward within the framework of the Japan Tourism Agency’s project which supports providing multilingual explanations for sightseeing destinations around Japan. Please have a look!

　西京区では，観光庁の「地域観光資源の多言語解説整備支援事業」により，区内7箇所の観光名所や寺院について，外国人旅行者により分かり易く，魅力的な英語解説文を作成しましたので，是非御覧ください！

　The project is to provide easier and more informative explanations of tourist spots for international tourists, and aims to improve the tourist satisfaction. The texts are not translations of Japanese texts but created by native-English writers who produce explanations in consideration of non-Japanese backgrounds.
　In FY2020, the Agency selected 65 areas including the Nishikyo Ward in an open call for the support.

　外国人旅行者の満足度向上を目的に，外国人旅行者により分かり易く，魅力的な解説文を整備する観光庁の事業です。日本語の解説文の翻訳ではなく，ネイティブのライターが旅行者と同じ目線で英語解説文を作成します。
　令和2年度は公募の結果，西京区を含む65地域が選定されました。
