Privacy Policy (Related to the Acceptance of Donations from Overseas Kyoto Fans)

In accepting donations from overseas Kyoto fans, City of Kyoto is deeply aware that personal information is an important part of privacy, and the city strives to create a website that people who visit there can use with confidence.

Except the information set forth in paragraph(3), any person may browse the website related to the acceptance of donations from overseas Kyoto fans without entering any personal information. However, the City may ask you to enter your name, e-mail address, or other personal information, or we may receive personal information entered by donor on third-party websites that can be accessed through this page.

Information received by the City will be used only for the following purposes.

Ⅰ Provision of information from the City to donors (sending e-mails and services incidental thereto and reporting to donors)

Ⅱ Identification confirmation of donors in the Services

Ⅲ Responses to consultations and confirmation, recording, and management within the City

Ⅳ Reporting to companies, which the City entrusts all or part of services, the personal information of doners regarding the donation via this page

Ⅴ In addition to the above, improvement of services and appropriate operation and management of this page

City of Kyoto does not personally use or provide other persons with personal information the city holds for any purpose other than the purpose of use, except cases based on laws and regulations or the identifiable person’s consent. However, this does not apply in a case falling under one of the following items:

Ⅰ if the city uses personal information it holds within the organ only to the extent necessary for managing processes or services under the jurisdiction provided by laws and regulations, and there are reasonable grounds for the use of that personal information;

Ⅱ if the personal information the city holds is provided to other administrative organ, or other prescribed corporation; the person that receives the information uses it only to the extent necessary for managing the processes or services under its jurisdiction provided by laws and regulations; and there are reasonable grounds for the use of that personal information;

Ⅲ beyond what is set forth in the preceding two items, if the personal information the city holds is provided exclusively for statistical purpose or academic research purpose; provision of the information to other persons is obviously beneficial to the identifiable person; or there are other special grounds for providing that personal information.

In part of this page, the City uses of cookie and web beacon for improvement of the services to visitors of this page.

The City uses Google Analytics on this page to understand how the Services are being used; Google Analytics uses cookies to collect information about visitors.
